Park In-hwan dropped out of college after liberation of Korea and returned to Seoul with just 50,000 KRW and purchased the book store run by poet Oh Jang-hwang and opened ‘Marie Bookstore’. Marie Bookstore contained the works, literary magazines and art books, etc. of various authors and it was a place frequently visited by poets and novelists, and it was the place where the Korean modernism movement first began. The first floor of the museum was organized in a minimal fashion like a drama set for the streets around ‘Marie Bookstore’ in Myeongdong, Seoul, and it is filled with various attractions.
